      <p>One of my favourite parts of going to Cubbon, the central park of Bengaluru, every weekend is meeting the dogs there. It has now become a ritual that both sides look forward to.</p><p>But now since it is summer, they are napping half the time I am there. While I miss hanging out with them, I am glad they are getting a respite from the heat.</p>

      <p>Whenever I encounter old abandoned cars on the street, I can't help but wonder the stories they hold.</p><p>When these cars were new, brought to their homes for the first time. How they were driven around the city, and taken care of, hopefully with love.</p><p>What led to them ending up on the side of the road today, and will they ever find a new home?</p>

      <p>After moving into our new house nearly five years ago, a house where mirrors (huge mirrors) are installed right into the cupboards, this one has been sitting idle. Unused.</p><p>I have been unable to give it away, wanting to turn in into an art project. I clean it every couple of months to hold on to that dream. Someday I might do it, till then I shamefully walk past it everyday.</p>

      <p>I have seen this photo over a dozen times since I clicked it, it makes me giggle every time.       <p>The yearly cycle of flowers colouring Bengaluru never ceases to amaze me even after all these years. And the summers are for bougainvilleas (amongst some others).</p><p>Apparently the British and German horticulturalists, who were in charge of Bengaluru during the 19th century, planted trees imported from around the world across the city so that Bengaluru blooms throughout the year.</p>
